Saturday, May 2nd, 9am to 2pm
When light and warmth return to this part of the hemisphere and the plants awaken, we often find ourselves longing for the taste of spring. We intuitively seek nutrition from the earth and the new growth of the season. In this one day class we have the opportunity to explore this desire.
Join us for a day of celebrating and foraging an array of wild edibles of the season, learning about them, and then together we will enjoy a beautifully crafted meal prepared from the medicinal edibles prepared by the owners of Seven Loaves.
We will be harvesting greens that include: nettles, dandelion, chickweed, Indian plum, miners lettuce, maple shoots, and more.
Participants will bring home time tested herbal recipes for several seasonally foraged greens that they can use year after year.
