Saturday, November 16, 10am-4pm with Leslie Lekos and Dr. Gary Bachman
This day long course focuses on herbal support for nervous system health. We will focus on plant allies and herbal remedies to aid in general stress reduction, long term nervine support and lifting the mood.
Course format consists of discussion, and experiential and hands-on learning. Workshop participants will have opportunities to sample and experience herbs in class and make herbal remedies to bring home.
10am Arriving at Wildroot Botanicals – Two tea formulas for mental wellness will be available for students to sample while we assemble for the start of class.
10-10:30am Introductions, Opening Circle , Hydrosol for clearing, Outline of the day, discussion about Albizzia
10:30-11:00am Breath work and movement for grounding
11:00am-12:00pm Discussion and experiential learning of the following herbs:
- Milky Oats
12-12:30 – Make a tea formula of herbs discussed in the morning for students to take home.
1:15-2:00pm Sampling, Reflecting, and Discussing:
- Flower Essences – a range of different flower essences will be available
- An Elixir of Ashwaganda, Milky, Oats, and Cardamon
- An Essential Oil Blend – Confiers: Cedar, Spruce, Douglas Fir, Pinyon
- Hydrosols – Tulsi, Sage, Lavender
2:00-3:00pm Students will experience guided work using tinctures that can include:
- Wood Betony
- California Poppy
3:00-3:30pm – Make a Adaptogenic Chai Blend
3:45-4:00pm – Wrap up and Closing
